10/26/16 Sample Journal Response
Being observed while teaching makes me so nervous. I did not think it was my best lesson because several students were talking and I did not address it. Also, I allowed students to speak out of turn several times and did not solicit answers from every student. In the future, I will make sure every student speaks at least one time. I will also make sure I know how to use the technology or have a backup plan if it doesn't go well. I go a little flustered when I couldn't figure out the technology, but that was just a small issue. At least the students did participate and they had a lot to add to the conversation. Overall, I think it was an average lesson.
Remember----
1. Do not give me a regurgitation of what happened in class
2. DO GIVE me your feelings about the day
3. Discuss what went well and what didn't go well
4. Think of alternative ways to handle situations/lessons that did not go well
